Care Instructions

The Roundabout Rollerball Pen comes with an unfilled ink converter. When filling ink for the first time, please allow up to 1 day for the feeder mechanism to become fully saturated

Filling/Changing Ink Colours:

  • Unscrew the barrel from the grip mechanism.
  • Submerge the rollerball tip fully into warm water. Flush the tip by twisting/untwisting the converter mechanism until the water runs clear.
  • Allow to dry overnight.
  • Fill a new colour by submerging the black rollerball tip fully into the ink, then draw the ink into your Roundabout by twisting the converter until you've reached the top position.

Notes:

  • For heavily saturated inks and darker tones or clogged tips, you may need to soak the grip/feeder in water overnight
  • It is normal for some air bubbles to enter the converter when refilling ink
  • Best for use with non-sparkling inks

Brilliant Idea

I love this idea - being able to use my inks in a rollerball pen gave me more flexibility for the times when a fountain pen wasn't the best option. I take this one to work, can fill out forms and use it on different papers (like cheap but pretty notebooks) where my fountain pen would pick up fibres and get clogged.
I can do both prink and cursive with this, and there's no blots or smearing.
The refill mechanism works really well > better than my Parker ones.
It holds a good volume of ink.
The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars, and this is purely personal fussiness - when I first pulled it out of the box, it felt too light and 'plasticky'. This does improve when it has ink in it. That little weight change helps a lot. I'm almost tempted to get another colour to see if it's the gloss on the baby pink. But if you can get past that, then this is an excellent pen, and just opens up more options for using your inks every day.
